Century Mills Stables

kerphotography_fields-4

These sweet girls were some of my first clients ever. Horses are their true passion. They have always wanted to do a session at their riding stables so this year we decided to do it and I’m so glad we did. The weather was gorgeous and I was in awe of the natural beauty, confidence and love these two clearly have toward these animals and this sport. This was one of my all time favorite sessions to date. A lifestyle session can be so much …

One Two Three Smile…or Not.

kealty-1-2

I think all parents know that some days are filled with sweet roses and others not so much. I know many families with young kids often arrive to their lifestyle session a little on edge hoping their kids “behave.” I have three kids – I get it. But I also know the “outtakes” are sometimes the best shots – they often capture a little piece of reality (a brief chapter that will pass in a blink of an eye). To be honest it doesn’t happen …

The Path We Choose

kerphotographybeach-1

Ever have a day that life just hits you? All the choices you have made to this point have led you to this moment. I had that day last week when I was lucky enough to accompany my baby on his first “official” school field trip. It was a trip to bring all his kindy classmates together, who come from all different towns to an outdoor wonderland – the beach. It’s a day for them to share, laugh and bond outside …

Sweet Georgia

kerphotographygeorgia-1-3

I have known Georgia’s parents since they first opened their amazing art studio for kids, Beehive Art.  I have listened to stories about this beautiful girl for years, but never met her in person. What an honor is was to hang out with Georgia for the afternoon and capture her senior portraits. This family is one of the best out there! Full of heart, soul, creativity and sweet kindness.

Apples to Apples

applesauce-1

Fall in the New England is the best! For so many reasons, but one of them is for the hundreds of local apple orchards all over the area. My kids always laugh at how excited I get when the date arrives for us to go apple picking as a family!  We eat an obscene amount of warm cider donuts, climb trees to find THE perfectly ripe apple, pick a giant pumpkin and chase each other through the orchard – good old fashion fun! When …

Claddagh’s Family

kerphotography_homepage-5

I met this sweet, warm and dog-loving family through my son a couple years ago. So when they called and said they needed some updated family photos that included their “first” child – their yellow lab named Claddagh I was all in. I have done a lot of shoots with four legged family members, but never have I had the pleasure of photographing a dog that truly is as loyal, well behaved and sweet as this adorable pooch.

Family Reunion in Osterville

kerphotography-6

Don’t ever underestimate the power of grandparents and cousins! One of the reasons I got into professional photography was because I love capturing moments for families that they don’t experience on a day to day basis. So when a family comes together from all across the country for a week on the Cape and invites me to capture an evening together I couldn’t pass it up! What an amazing group of people who clearly adore each other and share endless laughs as if …

Back To School

nbs2016_firstday-5

Back to school day was a day of firsts in our house. First day of 5th grade. First day of 3rd grade. First day of Kindergarten. First day all in one school. First day they are ALL IN SCHOOL! First first day of school mom didn’t cry! So excited for all of them, but most of all for my little guy and the adventure that awaits him as he begins his school age years. As he said this morning “I’m going to …

Shop Local: Post Road Flowers

postroad-2

Keeping it local…when I heard the talented Jolene Palumbo was about to open her new shop in our hometown of Wayland, Massachusetts I knew I had to get in there and capture the dream she has had for so long turning into a reality. Love what you do, do what you love. If you live in MetroWest Boston – check out Post Road Flowers.

Colonial Home Refreshed and Transformed

kerphotography-3

This was probably one of the most challenging projects I have taken on to date because I was photographing a subject that is very close to my heart – our home. Hired by our amazing architect DSK and builder Brookes + Hill Custom Builders to capture the craftsmanship put into our home to transform it from a 1968 traditional colonial into a house rich with character and charm. We felt like we hit the lottery working with this dream team!   …
